Bar Nikos is situated in the quaint Greek village of Stavropigio, Avias, Messinia. It lies under the ruins of the ancient Zarnata castle.
My family have owned this bar for over fifty years.
Join us for coffee or frappe, we also stock a full range of beers, wines and spirits. Cigarettes and snacks.
We open everday of the year from 9am until very late......
In spring, summer and autumn we have plenty of room outside and in winter you can come and sit by the fire.
When you have finished exploring the area for the day come and join us for a beer. We are a bar for all seasons and a bar for all reasons.
We have satellite sports TV for international football and the best in good music.
We also produce our own extra virgin olive oil, try some and buy some.
Whether you are visiting Stavropigio or just passing through, stop here and take it easy.

Bar Nikos, home of the Doloi light horse.
A splendid bunch of chaps who form the first and last line of defence in Avia.
They parade every Tuesday and Friday from 6 pm until late.

Now that sounds like a good idea
My family have produced extra virgin olive oil off this land for many many years. We farm right down to the beach, take a look and see how beautiful it is around here, hidden Greece. Maybe we should open a little bar here and we could all watch the sun go down over the sea every evening.
